I finally got around to watching this video, and now I can’t stop crying. 

The gist of the story is one we’re pretty familiar with…the elderly woman can’t say goodbye to her partner because legally they are not “family,” and she’s afraid to say their relationship with each other so she says they’re friends who’ve lived together for decades but the hospital says it has rules…eventually she finds her partner’s nephew to sign the waiver form so the hospital lets her say her final goodbye…and then in her dreams she has the wedding they never got. At the very end the nurse asks again, and she proudly says, “she is my wife.”

This is one of Taiwan’s biggest pop stars with one of Taiwan’s biggest actresses, and the majority of it is played by a very famous, well-respected actress that I grew up watching…so needless to say this is super duper powerful and extremely moving to me. Thank you Taiwan…you give me hope. Thank you Jolin.
